Wiredcats Future with Indian Ridge Middle School

Every week during the FTC season, the Wiredcats visit Indian Ridge Middle School, where they educate kids about robotics and STEM.

STEM Summer Institute @ WHS

Team members spend the first two weeks of their summer to team up with other STEM programs at WHS to educate a camp of 4-9th grades on the topic of STEM Fields.

Motorola - Take Your Child to Work Day

Over the summer, the Wiredcats demonstrated FTC robots and other engineering principles to children. They educated them about FIRST values, STEM opportunities, and what it means to engineer.

Aden Perry 5k

In support and in honor of Aden Perry, who was a fellow Wildcat, the Wiredcats volunteer at the annual Aden Perry Hero Event. Giving back to a supportive community and gracious sponsor, the Wiredcats aspire to bring FIRST values outside the lab.

Stryker Medical

Being the first high school robotics program to experience the informational tour, the Wiredcats had the privilege of taking a trip to the Stryker Medical Robotics Innovation Center. This trip exposed new and existing members of the Wiredcats to engineering and biomedical technologies. In turn, it inspired many to pursue degrees in STEM.

Restaurant Partnerships

The Wiredcats partner up with restaurants around the county to host family nights where a percentage of the profits come back to benefit us.

Car Washes @ Tower Shops

The Wiredcats hold occasional car washes to, not only raise funds for the program, but to give back to the community

Motorola Innovation Showcase

Every year, the Wiredcats attend the Motorola Innovation Showcase, which is hosted by one of our sponsors. Here, the Wiredcats showcase their FRC and FTC robots and connect with teams in the area.

Girls Who Code

A Hack-a-thon hosted by Girls Who Code, and in collaboration with the Wiredcats, students of all programming aptitudes competed in groups to create working programs themed around ideas that could help teachers.
